The NightStick performance shifter for the Tremec T56 Magnum is the perfect replacement for worn out or leaking original shifters. This NightStick shifter retains the factory Tremec shift stub location and can be used in the forward or rear position.
The T56 Magnum Night Stick shifter arrives finished in a sleek midnight black anodize with the unmistakable Bowler “B” logo etched on top. The T56 Magnum NightStick is an all new design that combines the ball and socket shift stub found on the Viper spec 6-speed with a completely new base plate configuration that eliminates oil leakage around the shift stub socket. This new design utilizes a wavering with snap-ring retention to keep constant pressure on the ball socket enclosure eliminating the ability for fluid to leak up past the shift stub. The composite ball used on the shift stub creates a smooth feel with no rattle. We then cap the top off with a dust boot to keep out debris. The NightStick is also available in various offsets and for the T56 Magnum Mid-Shift position should you need to move the shift location even farther forward.

The NightStick offset shifter for the Tremec T56 Magnum is perfect for applications that require a specific shifter placement. This unit comes equipped with a 2" side offset. Ideal for '64-'67 Chevelle/ GTO '62-'74 Chevy II, Impala factory consoles, but can also be used for many other custom applications.
The Night Stick shifter is sent out with a predetermined shift lever location set. If you should need or want the shifter in a different location you can easily adjust the settings.
The upright for the shift lever is held on with a nut and interference fit similar to that of a ball joint. This piece can be rotated 360* and can be locked back down in any position. The holes that attach the shift lever are threaded all the way through so you can mount your shift lever from either side. We always recommend using locking nuts, washers, or thread locker for the shift lever attachment bolts to prevent them from coming loose.
The offset base bracket also has an octagonal pattern machined into the attachment point to allow full 360* rotation as well. Simply unbolt and rotate to whichever position is best for your application. Additionally, 1"x 1/2" or 1" side offset adapters are available for other custom applications.

This shifter will convert your standard H-pattern gearbox to fully sequential operation. This is a bolt on fitment. It can easily be changed to another gearbox. Because of this fitment can be done by anyone with basic mechanical skills. This is the quickest bolt on shifter for t-56 available and is race proven all over the world.

Performance benefits Our sequential shifter does not work by forcing the gearbox into gear and will actually apply less force to the internals than a standard shifter and far less miss shifts will drastically reduce gearbox wear. The shifter has been specifically designed for use with synchro gearboxes and the loads encountered under hard driving, you will not break this shifter! The shift speeds are improved purely through the greatly improved usability for the driver. The simple pull back to up shift and push forwards to down shift is much easier to coordinate all movements under racing loads than the H-pattern shift. We have also optimized the design for the best driver feedback possible we do not add any rubber joints to give the driver a smoother feeling as in the performance application we would call that a vague shift. If you like the simplicity of no electronics you might want to order the shifter with no accessories.
If your car is fitted with an aftermarket dash display you will probably be able to display the gear on this with only the gear position sensor (0-5V output).
If you want a gear display and have a standard dash display in your car the easiest way is without gear position sensor and gear indicator.
Which gearboxes will this version fit? This version is to suit the after market Magnum gearbox with the large 6 bolt shifter mounting flange or the Magnum XL with the extended housing and 4 bolts shifter mount, please select the correct version in the drop down box. If you are unsure which version of the sequential shifter you need please contact us and we will help work that out. Keep in mind that all shifters fit specific gearboxes and not specific cars, you may need to modify transmission tunnel to suit. *Magnum XL gearbox will need a small modification to the gearbox for fitment. We make every effort to keep as much stock on hand as possible, but it may be necessary to order the shifter you need which can take up to 14 days for delivery.
