Twist introduced the production paddle shifter in 2004. Since then, they have refined the concept into comprehensive, manumatic systems for hot rods. CNC machined from solid aluminum.
The Shrifter attaches to your steering column without any wires. RF Signal transfer occurs in only 125 milliseconds. The paddle shifter itself uses a common battery with a service life of more than 3 years. Two paddle shifter models are available. SPLINED: Fits 67-94 GM columns as well as Ididit and Flaming River. UNIVERSAL: A common 3 bolt flange matches Grant Install Kits and most quick release racing hubs. If, for example, you have a 66 Ford, or a 71 Dodge or a pre 67 Chevy, choose the universal model.
Shrifter is ONLY intended for pre-airbag cars. It requires a relatively flat aftermarket steering wheel because it replaces the hub that's commonly used with custom wheels. The Shrifter accepts 9 bolt (LeCarra, Budnik, etc.) steering wheels without the need for an adapter. 5 bolt (Grant) and 6 bolt (Sparco/Momo) wheels can be easily installed with an adapter. Custom steering wheel adapters may also be ordered. Shrifters ship with an easy to maintain finish: Brushed or Black anodized.
